Hello and Welcome!

Class 233 is excited to present to you, “DO YOU FIU?” a blog created as part of an extensive research and investigation project meant to improve conditions at FIU.

As current students of FIU, we urge our fellow classmates, faculty and surrounding community to participate by posting comments, questions, suggestions, concerns, etc regarding FIU.

Our objective as a class is to…

Raise Awareness

Currently FIU has close to no exposure in the Media. We would like to alter that by informing the media, with the support of collected data, changes we feel should be made to the University.

Change Perceptions

For most, FIU is simply known as a South Florida University and nothing more. It is important we inform the public, there is more going on at FIU other than class and sports.

Change Attitudes

Sadly, many display an apathetic attitude when it comes to FIU. With this campaign, we hope to reduce people’s indifference attitudes towards FIU and its community.

Acquire Knowledge

In order to successfully carry out change, we must make sure that the information being passed along is correct and those delivering the message are well informed and knowledgeable on the subject. That said, we feel it is of the utmost importance changes be made to the Student Services department at FIU.

That said, we invite you to write about your experiences of FIU and, if any, with its student services department (good or bad)

It is with YOUR help we hope to make a difference at FIU.

Thanks a lot, and... DO YOU FIU?

  1. I feel safe at FIU if nothing else. I don't have to worry about shootings at FIU. Well the South Campus at least.

  2. I haven't had a problem with the student services personally but I know plenty of student who have.

  3. I know students who have had problems with FIU, including those in the armed forces who serve to protect us. The school needs to care about students and their situations as we pay the bills with tuition and each increase. Support our troops!
